Happy Birthday to the Crafts Directory

Yes CraftsforCharity was one year old last weekend and a great first year it has been too! With over 140 craft listings and has raised over £660 pound for charity it has far exceeded my expectations.

Happy 1st Birthday
But the best thing so far happened this last week on the eve of the Craft Directories 1st birthday. I was contacted by Andrea, the Managing Director of Interiors Bis Limited, who are a very nice interior design company based in Chelsea in London.

Andrea explained that over the years they had collected an awful lot of fabric swatches from their suppliers. They had come across CraftsforCharity and wondered if I would be interested in receiving fabric swatches which we could then use to make something to sell to make money for Macmillan.

Make for Macmillan

I immediately put Andrea in touch with Make for Macmillan who I recently featured on the CraftsforCharity website. Make for Macmillan recently let me know that they have just received the first delivery from Interiors Bis Ltd of a huge amount of fabric and leather!

A big thank you to Interiors Bis Ltd for being so thoughtful and a pat on the back for CraftsforCharity for making it happen!

One new very talented and lovely crafter has joined the crafts directory this week, so a big welcome to Jubilicious Jewellery. Jubilicious Jewellery is run by Sarah who has a degree in jewellery and silversmithing. Please have a visit to see her gorgeous handmade silver, gemstone, pearl and shell jewellery.

Thank you to everyone and cheers to another year for CraftsforCharity!
